“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do,” refers to things that are possible. There are many things which our heart wants to do which we will never do. It is good it is in our heart; but if we want to be useful, we must not be content with dreams that never come true and talking about things that are impossible for us to do. One good deed accomplished is worth more than a thousand brilliant theories. We should not wait for large opportunities, but do just the things we “find to do” day by day. We have no other time in which to live. The past is gone; the future has not arrived; we may never have any time but the present. So do not wait until your experience has ripened into maturity before you attempt to serve God. Endeavour now to bring forth fruit. Serve God now, but be careful as to the way in which you perform what you find to do, do it with thy might, do it promptly; do not waste away your life in thinking of what you may do tomorrow. No one ever served God by doing things to-morrow. Do not let today’s opportunities slip away.
